Caroline County Administrator Percy Ashcraft was presented with the Chamber's 2nd Annual C.I.V.I.C. Award at last evening's dinner at The Cafe On Main Street.  Mr. Ashcraft was chosen from nine nominees submitted and picked as the winner for his contributions to the Caroline community through The Optimist Club and other organizations.  Described by Chamber President L.J. Moyer as "the ultimate fundraiser" and a "ground-up organizer", Mr. Ashcraft's projects have included The Athletic Foundation, Dime-Day-Project, Making Christmas Wishes Come True Project, Operation Shoebox, the Harvey Jarmon Memorial Scholarship, Cinderella's Closet and various sports activities.  He coachs basketball, teaches in his church and is a founding Charter Member of Caroline's Promise.
